In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the INDIA alliance won 43 seats in Uttar Pradesh and 30 seats in Maharashtra. It also swept all 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Apart from that, INDIA alliance parties won 19 seats in Kerala, while Congress secured 9 seats in Karnataka and 8 seats in Telangana.

Now, this is where Thalapathy Vijay enters the picture.

In the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay's TVK won 108 out of 234 seats, proving that his popularity is no longer limited to the silver screen.

With the rapid work and public support he has gained, he has created a massive wave across South India.

If Congress's established organization joins hands with Vijay's growing influence in the South, the INDIA alliance could win a significant number of seats from southern states. If the alliance and its partners also manage to secure around 105 seats from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand, the path becomes much easier.

After all, in 2024, Rahul Gandhi fell short of becoming Prime Minister because the alliance was short by just 39 seats. But now, with Thalapathy Vijay on their side, the equation could look very different.
