Polls suggest Fine Gael are most popular party | General Election 2024
Fine Gael is the most popular political party in the country after a week of election campaigning, according to the latest opinion poll.
The poll series from The Irish Times and Ireland's leading market research company, Ipsos B&A, has Fine Gael sitting six points clear of its nearest rivals.
The latest poll sees Fine Gael support fall two points to 25% but it remains the most popular party in the country.
Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin are the nearest challengers - with both parties on 19% support.
Independent candidates including the Independent Ireland party see the biggest rise in support - up 4 points to 20%.
The Greens have fallen two points to 3%, Labour is down one point to 5%, the Social Democrats are unchanged at 3% and Solidarity People Before Profit remain unchanged at 2%.
Aontú has gained 2 points, bringing their support to 3%.
The poll was conducted on November 12th and 13th among 1,200 adults across the country through in person interviews and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8%.
