Next Indian Elections

In the 2024 Lok Sabha election for Mumbai North Central constituency, Varsha Eknath Gaikwad from the Indian National Congress (INC) won with 445,545 votes, securing 48.93% of the vote share. She defeated Ujjwal Nikam of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who received 429,031 votes (47.12%). The victory margin was 16,514 votes, with a voter turnout of around 52%.

Varsha Gaikwad, a four-time MLA from Dharavi and former Maharashtra cabinet minister, is also the president of Mumbai Congress and had support from Shiv Sena (UBT). This win marks a gain for INC from BJP in Mumbai North Central, making it a closely contested and significant victory for Congress in 2024.
