Congress leader Rahul Gandhi this week delivered three speeches over the course of two days in the Karnataka towns of Kolar, Bhalki, and Humnabad. In these speeches, he aimed to lay out a fresh political strategy that puts backward classes at the forefront. It seems that the opposition party is trying to revamp the concept of caste-based politics, known as the 'Mandal,' as a means of countering the BJP's 'Kamandal' or Hindutva ideology.
