The Indian Election Commission has said that India has created a world record as 642 million people voted in the six-week-long Lok Sabha Election. The numbers included 312 million women voters. The Election Commission has said that over 68,000 monitoring teams and 15 million polling and security personnel were involved in the world's largest elections.
