NHK's decision desk is projecting a tight race in Japan's general election. As of 8 p.m., when polling stations closed, NHK forecasts showed that it is not clear whether the ruling coalition can secure a majority. The broadcaster also projected that the Liberal Democratic Party will not reach a majority on its own. Meanwhile, their largest opponent, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, is certain to make significant gains. #japan #election #politics
