India Election 2024 Results: Indian Markets Continue to Fall; Sensex Crashes by More Than 3000 Points

The Indian stock market continued to bleed on the Lok Sabha election counting day, with the Sensex and Nifty down nearly 5% during the intraday trading. The Sensex declined by over 3,700 points to 72,778. On the other hand, the Nifty was down over 900 points to 22,347. All sectoral indices were trading in the red, with the Nifty PSU Bank down over 11%. Other sectors like Financial Services, Auto, Metal, and Media were also down over 5%.
