Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections is taking place today, Thursday. Polling will be held for a total of 121 assembly seats. There is a lot of buzz across the state. The big question is—will Bihar witness record voter turnout this time? The reason behind this expectation is that the voter list has been cleaned up due to the SIR system. Moreover, because of the Chhath festival, millions of migrant workers have returned home. There is no fear of COVID-19, and voters, especially the youth, are showing tremendous enthusiasm.
