🔸 2024 Assembly Election:
In the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Atul Moreshwar Save (BJP) won the Aurangabad East seat with about 93,274 votes (~43.07% vote share), narrowly defeating Imtiaz Jaleel Syed (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen – AIMIM) who secured 91,113 votes (~42.07%). Save’s victory margin was approximately 2,161 votes, highlighting a very closely contested race in this urban constituency.

In 2019, Atul Moreshwar Save (BJP) also won the Aurangabad East seat with 93,966 votes (~48.10%), defeating Dr. Abdul Gaffar Quadri Syed (AIMIM) who received 80,036 votes (~40.97%) — a wider margin compared to 2024.

In 2014, Atul Moreshwar Save (BJP) was once again victorious, securing around 64,528 votes, defeating his key competitor Dr. Abdul Gaffar Quadri (AIMIM) who polled about 60,268 votes — showing a strong BJP presence even then.

Historically, the seat has oscillated between national and regional party influence, with Congress earlier having representation in the seat before BJP established a strong foothold in recent elections.
