Anup Sanjay Dhotre of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Akola constituency with 457,030 votes, securing 38.96% of the total votes. He defeated his closest rival, Abhay Kashinath Patil from the Indian National Congress (INC), who received 416,404 votes (35.5%). Prakash Ambedkar of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi (VBA) got 276,747 votes (23.59%). Other candidates and NOTA received significantly fewer votes. The margin of victory for Anup Dhotre was 40,626 votes and the voter turnout was approximately 62%.
