Georgia President Calls For Protests Against Parliamentary Election Results | Subscribe to Firstpost

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has called for mass protests in response to the disputed parliamentary elections held on October 27. The ruling Georgian Dream party claimed victory in the elections with nearly 54% of the vote. Zourabichvili, a former ally of Georgian Dream who has become a vocal critic, labelled the election a "total fraud" and accused the ruling party of undermining democracy. She urged citizens to take to the streets to voice their dissent and announce to the world their rejection of the election results. The Georgian election results sparked widespread accusations of vote fraud from opposition parties and significant violations.
